Holly Laverick from Indiefilm recently had the pleasure to be part of the NZ Steadicam Silver Workshop in Lower Hutt, Wellington. She spent three days in Avalon Studios, trying out different Steadicam rigs, meeting awesome people and being taught a huge range of operating skills by three knowledgeable and passionate industry professionals. Holly found herself weaving through corners, clambering up stairs and ducking through doorways, all the time honing her skills and learning how great steadicam shots can be. Now it’s back to Indiefilm to put our trusty Steadicam Zephyr to the test, and to see what great shots we can get in our upcoming projects.
We had so much fun filming the Dinner at the Domain in Taumarunui at the beginning of March. What a great community and nice to see everyone coming together to share a meal and lots of laughs.
After a refreshing summer holiday Indiefilm is back at work. We have lots of exciting projects lined up for the new year so watch this space, we’ll keep you posted on our progress.
Indiefilm Productions has officially moved into our the new studio! The directions are simple, look for the McDonalds on Te Rapa Rd and we're in the block of units behind!
We will be at MyBiz Expo in ASB Showgrounds Auckland from Sunday 14th Oct to Tuesday 16th Oct. MyBiz Expo showcases business suppliers of power, phone, banking, IT support and accounting through to photocopiers and many other leading providers - all under one roof. Come and visit us at stand #3006 (oppsite HP and Microsoft).
Indiefilm has expanded quite a bit since Borden and Murdoch launched the company in 2009. We have outgrown our Victoria Street studio and will be moving a much larger location in October.
Post production for Little Lapin's music video is complete. We don't want to give too much away because the single and video haven't been released yet. What we can tell you is that the video looks great, and we had a great time working with Lucy (Little Lapin).
Recently Borden photographed the second place winners of our music video competition - The Latest Fallout. The shoot took place in a burned down house, which is the same location the band used for their first music video. Check out the video below to see the results!
YounG-World is a local hip-hop artist that is steadily working his way through the New Zealand scene. He narrowly missed winning our music video competition, but we liked him so much we decided to offer him a photo shoot.
We have just had a meeting with our music video competition winner, Lucy Cioffi (Little Lapin). We love Lucy!!! She is bursting with enthusiasm for her upcoming video “Silent tears”. She even let us stick red dots all over her face while we had an impromptu motion tracking experiment. We don’t want to give away too much about her upcoming music video (not just yet), but you can check out her band page here to get an idea of Lucy's sound.
